Ingredient Sourcing
Every active in NeuroPouch is selected for three things: the dose that’s actually supported by human research, the standardised, characterised form of the ingredient, and a supplier that can document identity, potency and contaminant testing. We name every ingredient, every dose, and every supporting source.
The five actives
Caffeine (anhydrous) — 100 mg per pouch
Pharmaceutical-grade caffeine anhydrous, supplied to EU food-grade specifications. Each batch is tested for identity and potency. The 100 mg dose is roughly one espresso, within EFSA’s safe single-dose guidance of 200 mg for healthy adults. See caffeine pouches explained.
L-Theanine — 150 mg per pouch
Pure L-isomer theanine, supplied to food-grade specifications. The 150 mg dose paired with 100 mg caffeine produces the 1.5:1 ratio used in published human trials of the pairing. See L-theanine + caffeine evidence.
Alpha-GPC — 100 mg per pouch
L-Alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine, soya-derived choline source. Selected over CDP-choline on the strength of human-trial evidence for cognitive endpoints. Supplier provides identity and assay testing per batch. See Alpha-GPC explained.
Rhodiola rosea — 75 mg per pouch
Standardised Rhodiola rosea root extract, standardised for the marker compounds (rosavins and salidroside) used to compare to extracts in the published clinical trials (Darbinyan 2000; Spasov 2000; Shevtsov 2003). See Rhodiola explained.
Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) — 100 µg per pouch
Methylcobalamin form, the bioactive coenzyme form of B12. Carries EFSA-authorised claims for normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system, and reduction of tiredness and fatigue. See Vitamin B12 explained.
Excipients and pouch material
The pouch matrix uses food-grade plant fibres and food-approved excipients selected for stability and saliva release. The product is vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, tobacco-free and nicotine-free.
What we don’t use
- No nicotine. No tobacco. No tobacco-derived components.
- No undeclared "proprietary blends".
- No banned stimulants (DMAA, DMHA, synephrine high-dose, etc.).
- No artificial sweeteners; no added sugar.
Supplier selection
Ingredient suppliers are selected on:
- Audit history and GMP/equivalent certification.
- Per-batch Certificate of Analysis covering identity, assay, microbiological tests, and heavy metals.
- Traceability of botanical extracts to species, plant part and country of origin.
- Stability of supply chain in EU/EEA jurisdictions wherever possible.
